Ian Pealin CFP
Ian has held the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner licence since 2004 and is one of around only around 900 holding the licence in the UK. In addition Ian is on the inaugural roll of Chartered Financial Planners following the decision of the Privy Council to permit the Chartered Insurance Institute to grant the title in August 2005. He is also an Associate of The Personal Finance Society.
The Institute of Financial Planning requires Certified Financial Planners to meet exacting standards in respect of Education, Examination, Experience and Ethics.
Education
In addition to the studies necessary to achieve examination success, Ian also follows a programme of Continued Professional Development (CPD) to ensure that he remains competent to carry out work for his clients. Records are checked annually by the Institute of Financial Planning and on an ad hoc basis by The Personal Finance Society. The Financial Services Authority may also seek to see evidence of relevant CPD at any time.
